Hands 4Life
In 2016, Hands 4Life founder Stacy Shewey traveled to Haiti as part of a mission trip. On that trip, she visited a newly constructed community with an assisted living facility for the elderly. Witnessing firsthand the tremendous need in the developing world for high-quality, compassionate care for older adults, Stacy began a journey leading to the creation of Hands 4Life – one of the few nonprofit missionary organizations focusing on caring for the elderly in developing nations. The need has never been greater.
62% of people over 60 years of age live in developing countries; by 2050 this number will have risen to 80%.
The Global Aging Crisis
As nations worldwide struggle to prepare for this global aging crisis, developing countries are particularly at risk of lacking the adequate healthcare, housing, and other services an aging population requires.
Drawing on Stacy’s experience in the assisted living industry, partnerships with established humanitarian organizations, and with a firm reliance on God’s word and His grace, Hands 4Life is committed to ensuring the two most vulnerable age groups – the young and old – are protected, nurtured and loved in a life-changing way.
